Although we still use a variety of thin film, thick film, metal film, carbon film, and even carbon composition and NOS carbon composition resistors in certain areas, we have recently begun investing more and more into audiophile resistors made by Precision Resistive Products out of Iowa. It's great to support one of the last small shops still making semiconductors in the United States; but not only that, these resistors sport noise levels that are truly at the theoretical limits. When noise is a concern, this is what we use. They cost quite a fortune, but we feel that we should use only the best for our products.
