I often get asked when is the best time to send in any mics for modification. Well, the short answer is right now. We have all but completely caught up and are in the brief 'lull' before things start to heat up toward the end of the year.
I am not entirely sure why, but we have always recieved the bulk of our orders between the time after Halloween and the first half of January. I think people may wait until their studios are shutting down for the holidays to send stuff in for repair or wait until year's end to budget in new gear. Whatever the reasons, we usually struggle to catch up throughout the first quarter of the next year. It happens every year. Right now is sort of the dead zone before things start to get busy again. So, if anyone needs to send in a mic mod or reserve a new mic build, now would be the time to do it. It would lock the order in ahead of the other stuff that comes in later this year and assure you get it back it fairly quick. Thanks!
